I was the highest person on Earth at this moment standing on the summit of Manaslu, the 8th highest mountain in the world. I climbed from basecamp to the summit in one push by myself over the course of 14 hours without supplemental oxygen. I stood on top at about 4:30pm and couldn’t believe my eyes. I was wearing a sun hoody and a light windbreaker at over 8000m!!! Watch as the bird flies by, magic!! The Mountain of the Spirit! And as always, thank you to the people who make climbs like this possible. The porters who carry equipment in, the tea houses and their owners who give us shelter along the trek, Asian Trekking who organized all of the logistics at basecamp, the rope fixing team for laying the route and the mountain for allowing us access to the summits. I’m getting the itch to stand above 8,000m again.. Follow for more! #mountains #himalayas #manaslu

BURIED! Man was this a freaky one. First time being fully buried under the snow. I started to panic a bit as soon as I inhaled a whole bunch of snow. My entire throat and mouth were full & definitely had a bit in my lungs. Fortunately we knew this was a possibility & my good friend @friscopowderaddict staged close by to dig me out worst case scenario. Rule #? to dropping big cliffs into bottomless powder - have someone close by to dig you out if you get buried. Big thanks to @juliancarr for teaching me a few of these key points to staying alive while sending it. As soon as my airway was cleared and breathing again I yelled out a big “LETS FUCKING GO!” The stoke is high & I’m ready for more!
